About The Authors
Kailash Narayan Johri is a dedicated professional and educator with a diverse academic and technical background, including B.A., LL.B., Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management, and Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
He began his career in 1983 as a Permanent Way Inspector in the Indian Railways, where he served for many years in Northern Railway and North Central Railway. He also worked for about 9 years as an Assistant Divisional Engineer / Assistant Executive Engineer (Gazetted Officer), handling both maintenance and works responsibilities.
After his railway career, he contributed his expertise as a Track Expert and Consultant with organizations such as RITES and L&T. Presently, he is devoted to teaching students from Class V to X, helping them build strong academic foundations.
This book is co-authored with Late Ganga Narayan Johri, whose vision and dedication continue to inspire its purpose.
Ganga Narayan Johri (1915–2002) began his career as a teacher at a higher secondary school in Aligarh. During this time, he observed that students from rural backgrounds often struggled with English compared to their urban counterparts. This inspired him to create a resource that could support such students.
Although he later joined the Food and Civil Supply Department of Uttar Pradesh Government as an Inspector, his passion for education remained alive. After retirement, he returned to his dream and began working on this book in 1995 along with Kailash Narayan Johri.
